In India, Govt. announced some mega projects. these are :-
1.Shiv Smarak:-- The Shiv Smarak or the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial is a monument under construction to honor the 17th-century Indian warrior king and founder of the Maratha Empire, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The statue will be located in the Arabian Sea, near the coast of Mumbai city in the Indian state Maharashtra. The statue will be located facing Mumbai, 1.5 km away on a manmade island of rocks; it will be 126 meters (413 ft) in height, including its base.
2.Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir:--Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir is the world's tallest temple under-construction at Vrindavan, Mathura, India. When completed, it will be the tallest religious monument in the world. At cost of ₹300 crore (US$44 million), it will be one of the most expensively built temples in world by ISKCON Bangalore. The temple has a footprint of about 5 acres and rises to a height of about 700 feet (213 meters or 70 floors) and a built-up area of 5,40,000 sq. ft.
3.Chenab Bridge:-- The Chenab Bridge is a railway steel and concrete arch bridge under construction between Bakkal and Kauri in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. When finished, the bridge will span the Chenab River at a height of 359 m (1,178 ft) above the river, making it the world's highest rail bridge.
4.Mumbai Trans Harbour Link:-- The Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), also known as the Sewri-Nhava Sheva Trans Harbour Link, is an under-construction 21.8 km, freeway grade road bridge connecting the Indian city of Mumbai with Navi Mumbai, its satellite city. When completed, it would be the longest sea bridge in India....
5.Twin Tower Trade Centre, Guwahati:-- The Assam government on Friday inked a deal with the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) for setting up a 65-story twin tower trade center in earthquake-prone Guwahati. The agreement for building the trade center on a 32-bigha plot was made ahead of the two-day Global Investors’ Summit — dubbed Advantage Assam — that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate on Saturday.
6.Chennai Bangalore Industrial Corridor:-- The Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor Project is an upcoming mega infrastructure project of Government of India. The corridor plans to come up along Chennai, Sriperumbudur, Ponnapanthangal, Ranipet, Chittoor, Bangarupalem, Palamaner, Bangarpet, Hoskote, and Bangalore.
7.Navi Mumbai International Airport:-- Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is an under construction greenfield international airport being built at Ulwe Kopar-Panvel in Maharashtra, India. It will be the second international airport for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, functioning alongside Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) as India's first urban multi-airport system. The first phase of the airport will be able to handle 10 million passengers per annum and is expected to be operational in 2019.
8.Char Dham Highway:-- Char Dham Expressway National Highway (चार धाम महामार्ग), is a proposed two-lane (in each direction) express National Highway with a minimum width of 10 meters in the state of Uttarakhand. The proposed highway will compliment the underdevelopment Char Dham Railway by connecting the four holy places in Uttarakhand states includes Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
9.Mandovi Bridge:-- The Mandovi Bridge is a bridge between towns Panaji and Porvorim, in Goa. It carries the NH 17 over the tidal part of the Mandovi River. The first and second bridge are multiple span beam bridges and the third is a cable-stayed bridge which is under construction. It has a total length of 3,771 meters. It is the third longest cable-stayed bridge in India.
